This site has been developed for the Government of Gujarat,
the site provides information about the disaster caused in Gujarat due
to the Earth Quake on the 26th Of January 2001. The site
has drop downs for selecting the districts, Taluka and the villages in
Gujarat, which could be mapped on to the map after the users
selection. The site enables the user to get statistical information
about the disaster and analyse the destruction through certain
predefined queries like “Total number of death cases”, “Number
of Injury cases”, “Animal deaths”, “Pakka houses destroyed”
etc., for the Katchchh district, in which the destruction was maximum.

The
site has two services running one running on the internet, for the
internet users and the other for the intranet users. The Internet
service includes functionalities like zoomin, zoomout, measure, pan,
identify, print, query and e-mail along with tools to find the
location and the places of interest in Mumbai. The outdoor or the
intranet service, includes functionality like zoomin, measure,
zoomout, pan, identify, print, query and e-mail along with tools for
locating the hawkers selling Mid-day newspaper in the regions
selected by the user.
The
Internet service provides users to quickly locate their points of
interest and then find the nearby facilities to the located point.
The intranet service on the other hand helps the outdoor users to
find the location of the hawkers and also check for the availability
of the Ad’s in the Bus stops and then notify the users of the
details.

Eicher Delhi, proposed to create a website showing the
City Map prepared on large scale and enabling the users to visualize
the entire city in the maps and also to query for various places of
interest. The users also can utilise the site for getting information
on the routes to places of interest. Apart from that a repository of
information on Delhi city is hosted on the internet for information.
The maps on large scale are converted to ESRI format and the website
was created using the ArcIMS technology.

real estate application to include a GIS based module in their
portal for searching the properties in four of the cities of
India namely Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. The site includes
mapping functionalities like zoomin, zoomout, pan, find and identify,
apart from the this the site also includes functionalities for
searching the nearest facility to the selected road. One of the unique
features in the site is to select any area of interest on the map and
display the locations in the selected area, which could then be used
by the Propmart portal to display the properties present in the
selected localities along with the photos and other related information.
The
site helps the internet users to browse through the map contents of
all the states mentioned above and also get information related to
the properties in the selected localities.

This site has been developed for the
State Government of Gujarat (GSDMA) ,
the site provides information about the disaster caused in Gujarat due
to the Earth Quake on the 26th Of January 2001. Dynamic
maps are generated based on the indicators selected by the users
from the drop downs provided, here the user is able to view two
indicators simultaneously on the map at the same time, and make judgments
on the same. The indicators are currently available for the Katchchh
district.
