latest technologies from ESRI. Specialists from different vertical segments having vast
field level knowledge add insights to the need specification process and guide the project
managers through out the implementation. Thorough knowledge of core GIS concepts and ESRI
technology is common denominator of an ESRI India consultant. For database creation,
experienced Operations manager handle production facilities to ensure digitization quality
and on-time delivery. EIC derives technology and vertical segment related expertise from
ESRI Inc. also, as and when required in a project. Alliances with several specialized
Consultancy organizations add diversity to the knowledge base of ESRI India Consulting
team.
We have people with the
required skills to accomplish their tasks to the maximum. The marketing people are mostly
engineers or management graduates with sufficient sales and marketing experience.
The technical staff mostly
comprises of people who have a formal degree in GIS or Remote Sensing and have a
background of related application areas like geology, civil engineering, urban planning
and telecom. The Consultancy & Services Division is headed by a former Army Colonel
who has over 27 years of experience in Project management, GIS and software development.
ESRI India invests heavily in regular skill upgradation of its
people and each employee has to undergoe a minimum of 2 weeks of training every year to
upgrade their skills. In addition, there are several training programmes for the technical
people on new technologies and products. As a part of the skill upgradation programme,
every year, a few people are sent to ESRI Redlands to get trained by ESRI staff on
specific technlogies. It is this skill upgradation that has enabled ESRI India to possess
expertise in almost all ESRI technologies.
A typical Project Team of EIC would comprise of Project
Manager, System Analyst & Team Members (Data Creators and / or Application
Developers), Quality Check Expert and Vertical Segment Expert.
A
typical Project Manager from EIC would have Post Graduate degree in relevant field with
6-8 years of experience in GIS and RS.
System Analyst for a project would be a highly experienced
professional with expertise in requirements specification, database conceptualization and
application design.
Data creators or Application developers would typically have one to
three years of experience in their respective functions with extensive hands-on knowledge
of relevant GIS and Image Processing Software.
Vertical Segment expert would be a senior consultant
with around ten to fifteen years of experience in respective areas and conceptual
understanding of GIS.
All the members of ESRI India Consulting team undergo extensive
training in Quality process management.
